Recently, everyone is talking over the demonstration in Hong Kong.

I was not interested in social and political news until "Occupy Central" started.

I used to think boycotting classes is meaningless.

However, the situation has become direr over time.

I started to investigate what is going on in Hong Kong.

I wondered "點解學生要罷課上街遊行?" (why do students stage a demonstration?)

I found this picture on Facebook.

It captured a child turn his thumbs up on Joshua Wong (黃之鋒).

The words is said by Hu Shi, a Chinese philosopher, essayist and diplomat.

"In a normal nation, adults should take the responsibility in political, while teenagers are interested in sports, entertainment and meeting friends of the opposite sex. Yet, in an abnormal nation, there are corrupted politics. There is no organization representing public opinion. The responsibility of interfering politics would definitely be on students."

After I read this, I realized Hong Kong is an abnormal city.
Because students are protesting for the public.

Students and other protesters are very calm and peaceful.
But the most heartbroken time has come.

Police used tear gas to break up the demonstration while the students and protesters are having only umbrellas, masks and goggles.

"學生及示威者手無寸鐵，只有雨傘、口罩及眼罩。警察竟用催淚彈驅散他們。"

And I wondered "點解警察要用武力清場?"

The picture on the left is is yellow ribbon, which means universal suffrage. It also symbolizes democracy.

The picture on the right is designed for the Umbrella Revolution.

「遮」在廣東話中有雨傘之意，「打」寄意行動以打擊香港特首梁振英及打倒人大決定為目標，「遮打」二字亦恰好呼應位於中環的遮打道。

BBC reported the Hong Kong demonstrators are peaceful and polite.

I am so touched when I saw Paul Zimmerman raised a yellow umbrella instead of wine glass.

I will never forget this protest.
